Two of Teddington Dance Studio's (TDS) talented dancers will be featuring in upcoming Netflix productions set to be released later this year.

The 12-year-old duo, Nancy Kerr-Elliott and Teigan Lea-Fagan, have been attending TDS since the age of three and also attend Teddington Secondary School together.

Teigan, will feature as a young student in the upcoming Netflix remake of Matilda the Musical, coming to the platform in December 2022.

Directed by Matthew Warchus, the musical features a star-studded cast including Emma Thompson as Miss Trunchbull, Stephen Graham as Mr Wormwood and Lashana Lynch as Miss Honey.

Speaking to Nub News, Teigan explained how the audition process was not as daunting as she first anticipated and she was pleased with how smoothly it went.

She said: "The audition went really well, and I actually found it quite easy, they taught us a dance and I had to sing a song. I came out feeling very happy and thoroughly enjoyed the experience."

Nancy will also be taking up the role of a young student in Treason, a new action series set to be released in early 2023 following Adam Lawrence, a man trained and groomed by MI6 who is forced to tackle his complicated past and risk losing all those close in his life.

Nancy was individually selected for her role and was understandably thrilled at the opportunity as she fought off heavy competition to secure her spot.

Both girls explained how they would love for their roles to be the start of something special in the acting industry but either way, their passion for dancing is something that will stay with them always.

Nub News looks forward to seeing the two stars in action!
