If you're going shopping in Teddington, or indeed anywhere, remember that face coverings are now mandatory from tomorrow.

Full guidance has now been released by the government ahead of masks becoming mandatory.

They must be worn in enclosed public spaces including supermarkets, indoor shopping centres, transport hubs, banks and post offices.

You must also wear a face covering when buying takeaway food and drink, although they can be removed in a seating area.

Those who break the rules could face a fine of up to £100.

There are exemptions for children under 11, those with disabilities or certain health conditions, such as respiratory or cognitive impairments that make it difficult for them to wear a face covering.

It is not compulsory for shop workers to wear masks however the government encourage workers to wear one.

Police have the power to enforce the new rules however an emphasis has been placed on individual responsibility to wear a mask.

So remember if you're going to the shops tomorrow to wear a mask!
