Cafe Verde Teddington needs your help!

Cafe Verde needs your help as they change their license from a cafe to a mixed use retail and restaurant.

The change comes following complaints from a neighbour about the smell their breakfast makes when on the grill.

Filiz from Cafe Verde explained how important their breakfast menu is.

She said: "People love our breakfasts and it is a British tradition so you have to sell it.

"We are currently at the Neighbourhood Consultation stage of changing the license so any comments you leave would be really helpful.

"Already 38 people have recommended that this licence is changed and we really feel part of the community here."

The cafe is located on Kingston Road and use as much locally sourced and environmentally friendly products as they can.

There are also no plans for the cafe to extend their opening hours into the evening so local residents can be sure noise will not be an issue.

Filiz also told us about the history of the cafe.

She added: "We opened in November last year having spent a lot of money redecorating over three months.

"We spent thousands doing this and we really starting to get popular until lockdown.

"But people are coming back now and our breakfast is very popular - so it is really important we can keep serving it to keep the business going.

"We're a lovely, modern and clean place and we are so happy to be part of the community."
