A little bit about our good friend Harry July...

He was diagnosed with eye melanoma when he was 18 (back in 2011).

In typical Harry fashion he shrugged it off, never complained and always remained positive.

He proceeded to have a successful operation removing the tumour and soon regained full sight in his eye.

Unfortunately, the tumour came back and despite Harry showing positivity and determination until the very end, to fight this awful disease, it was ultimately terminal on January 9 2017.

Harry lived a vibrant and full life and one that will never be forgotten by all those that loved and adored him.

Harry spent his final weeks at the Princess Alice Hospice, and he only ever told me how amazing and nurturing it was for him and made him feel safe during his last days.

On top of that he was convinced that all of the nurses loved him, of course.

It is a charity that is very close to the hearts of all of Harry's family and friends.

Princess Alice Hospice is funded purely through donations and they are struggling significantly at this time with many of their bricks and mortar stores closed and many fundraising events on hold or cancelled.

In memory of Harry's life and paying tribute to his lucky number and shirt number while playing at NPL football club (7) we will be running 7 x 7 mile runs in 7 days.

Lucky Number 7 - Run 7k, Donate £7, Nominate 7:

Then it's your turn!

We will nominate 7 of our friends to run 7k, donate £7 and nominate 7 of their friends and so on. Put simply - Run 7k, Donate £7, Nominate 7.

Do you want to join us in making a difference in memory of Harry?

We are raising money in aid of Princess Alice Hospice and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.

Princess Alice Hospice provides free, holistic palliative care for patients with advanced illness and those approaching the end of their lives.

They aim to enable all patients to have the best possible quality to the end, responding quickly to their needs and wishes. Princess Alice Hospice relies solely on funding to run their day-to-day.
