This week will see a number of roadworks take place which could impact your routes across the Richmond borough.

Emergency works

Richmond town centre: Thames Water are currently undertaking major works to repair a leaking high pressure main meaning Red Lion Street is closed between Church Terrace and Lewis Road. Mains repair outside Cancer Research UK on Hill Street will start on Wednesday 1st March. Hill street will be closed in a Northbound direction From Wednesday 1st March, meaning there will be no access to Richmond Town Centre for traffic from Petersham Road and coming across Richmond Bridge from Twickenham.

Buses along with traffic coming across Richmond Bridge will be diverted down Petersham Road, back up Star and Garter Hill onto Queens Road, onto Sheen Road back to Richmond Town Centre. See diversion map for traffic coming across Richmond Bridge.

Traffic coming from Petersham will be diverted over Richmond Bridge, onto St Margaret's Road onto the A316, to Richmond Circus, back into Richmond Town Centre. See diversion map for traffic coming from Petersham.

Estimated completion date for the mains repair is 27/03/2023.
