Hampton Court Palace and its beautiful gardens are still open at the weekends and offers visitors an uplifting experience during lockdown.

Most of the gardens remain accessible and continue to look stunning under the care of the army of gardeners who work at the Palace.

Impressive sculptures made of willow and bark are scattered around the grounds and include a dragon and lion providing a source of curiosity for children.

The Tiltyard Cafe is open as well as The Magic Garden but be prepared for long queues and the toilets remain open too.

Plenty of signs provide reminders of the importance of social distancing and all tickets must be pre-booked for specifically timed slots.

The car park is fully operational and requires payment and there are several cycle racks where busting cyclists can secure their bikes.

Work continues on the assembling of the ice rink, which opens on December 5th and the massive marquee and the rink itself continued today.
