Large queues of cars form in Bushy Park despite Royal Parks advice

Huge queue of cars have once again formed in Bushy Park this weekend.

The above photos were taken at 10:35am this morning.

It comes despite Royal Parks advice given prior to the weekend.

They said: "With limited places to visit due to the lockdown, all our parks, but especially Richmond and Bushy Parks, can be very busy at weekends.

"Even during the week, on dry, sunny days it's not unusual to see our car parks full by 10am, which can lead to long delays and cars being turned away on arrival.

"To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend that visitors leave their cars at home during peak times such as weekends, and when the weather is good.

"Together, Bushy and Richmond Parks provide 3,600 acres of historical parkland for visitors to boost their physical and mental health, which means that, once people are in the parks, there is plenty of space for visitors to spread out and keep a safe distance from others."

This again will raise the debate about cars in the park.
