The battle to save Park Lane Stables received another boost this weekend.

The popular Teddington stables are under threat from closure as the landlord looks to sell the property.

They need to raise a million pounds to buy the property themselves and are well on their way - having raised £183,000 already.

They have now received two brand new endorsements.

The first from popular comedian and actor, Rob Brydon.

The 'Gavin and Stacey' star tweeted: "It would be such a shame if these stables were to close."

The second endorsement is even more impressive.

The royal seal of approval

Louis Woolf a 14 year old with Asperger's syndrome sent a letter to Princess Anne, the Princess Royal.

Louis is one of the many people who benefits from the Riding from the Disabled Association - who have a group at Park Lane.

Princess Anne of course is keen horse rider and she reopen the stables after their refurbishment a number of years ago.

Louis wrote asking the Princess if there was anything she could do to help the campaign.

The private secretary to the princess duly replied to the letter and said a visit may be on the cards when restrictions ease.

You can check out the full letter above.
