The opening of the much-anticipated two new lifts at Teddington Station has been delayed until March.

Originally, the lifts were set to open in October, but this was delayed until the end of December, and now it has been revealed that following a testing period over Christmas, the lifts will not open until March.

The new lifts should improve accessibility for elderly and disabled travellers, as well as families with young children and heavy prams.

The £4.2m 'Access for All' scheme began in July 2023 and will see two lifts opening between the two platforms on Station Road and Victoria Road.
