Outdoor sports are back in Teddington!

Facilities like tennis courts and open-air pools are re-opening today as social distancing rules are relaxed by the government.

Formally organised outdoor sports are also now allowed to take place, and across Teddington sports clubs have been welcoming members back.

These include NPL Tennis Club, part of the wider NPL Sports Club located near the National Physical Laboratory buildings by Bushy Park.

Philippa Godden, Chair of the Club's Tennis Committee, said: "It is fantastic to get back to playing tennis on our amazing courts situated on the edge of Bushy Park.

"We have all missed seeing each other at social doubles and look forwards to welcoming new members to our fun and friendly club."

You don't have to work at the NPL to be a member of the sports club and there are junior and family memberships available.

Members have access to the club's four artificial courts and five grass courts, plus facilities such as changing rooms and the club's pavilion.

They can also take part in social sessions or play friendly and league matches as part of the club's competitive team.

Information on membership fees and court opening times is available on the club's website
