Front shop alterations to Gail's new store on Teddington Broad Street has been proposed in a planning application to Richmond Council.

Previously Planet Organic, the new Gail's bakery is replacing the existing matte black stone finish on the store's exterior with a new cream painted finish in the colour of 'Little greene Joanna no. 130'.

Included in the application is the installation of glazed timber entrance doors to shopfront as well as an installation of an externally illuminated fascia lettering sign.

An extract from the heritage statement reads: "Overall, these proposals, seeking external alterations to facilitate Gail's occupation of the site represent a positive enhancement to a currently vacant unit forming part of Teddington District Centre"

It is proposed new black push plates, kick plates and pull handles will be added to the shop front doors.

The planning application states new timber glazed porch will be created to allow doors to open outwards, rather than the previous inwards, for building regulations compliance.

Details from the planning document show new black metal exterior chairs and tables to be placed outside the shop during opening hours.
