The London-based bakery chain Gail's is coming to Teddington.

Moving into the premises of the Planet Organic store in Broad Street, the bakery is in a prime location on the high street.

Selling fresh hand-baked breads, pastries and sandwiches everyday, Gail's prioritises quality and seasonal ingredients.

The new store will be a welcome addition to the Gail's in Kingston, Twickenham and Richmond.

The opening of the store will also provide new jobs in the local area.

Signs pointing towards the incoming bakery have been up a couple of weeks, but there is no confirmed opening date yet.

Some locals have commented Teddington does not need another coffee and cake shop.

While others praised the quality of Gail's products and said how good it was to see stores opening on the high street.

Still others expressed worries about how local coffee shops will cope, especially the two Cavan Bakery stores.
