A missing 14-year-old girl from Twickenham has been found safe and well.

Details were revealed early today by the police in Richmond and her parents.

The youth, Clementine Reardon, had been missing since Thursday.

Details of the search had been shared across social media after friends of the family, including Georgia Tennant and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, asked followers to help.

Writing on Facebook, her father, Graeme, thanked everyone for their support and good wishes.

He said: 'We are delighted to be able to confirm that Clementine has been found.

'We wanted to thank everyone for their support and help in locating her, we have been overwhelmed and we are so grateful.

'We are not able to share anymore details at this time as it is part of an ongoing police investigation. Thank you again.'

The police have asked people to respect the family's privacy.
