Linda Hall AKA Miss Fu-Sion is returning to music after a 22-year hiatus with a show at Hampton Hill Theatre and a gig at the The King's Head in Teddington.

Hall, a 53-year-old mum from Chiswick who now lives in Sunbury on Thames and uses the stage name Miss Fu-Sion, is a former musician having been in a girl band which performed at Glastonbury in 1999.

However, after she met her husband who was performing as a drummer for a boy band at Glastonbury the same year, she was kicked out of the band and so decided to give up music to focus on her husband and starting a family.

Over the past 22 years, Miss Fu-Sion has become a mum and has been working as an exercise to music instructor.

While Miss Fu-Sion loved that she could incorporate her love for music and dancing into her exercise classes, she realised over the COVID-19 lockdown that she wanted to get back to pursuing music as a full-time career.

And she is doing so by performing gigs and hosting live shows across London.

Miss Fu-Sion told Teddington Nub News: "I write my own songs, I play the guitar, and I dance, and so I thought, okay, let's try and see if this would work now.

"I tried it in the theatre in a Chiswick back in April, and it was a bit of a safety net because that's where I was born, so I had a lot of friends come and I filled the theatre really quickly."

Following the success of her first show, Miss Fu-Sion is now hosting a show at Hampton Hill Theatre on 4 October from 7.30pm, which she hopes will help her reach an audience who have not yet heard of her.

At the show, Miss Fu-Sion will be performing her own songs, which he has recorded and uploaded to Apple and consist of a mix of dance pop, acoustic guitar songs, and Latin songs inspired by her Spanish mother.

The mix of genres in her songs is where the "fusion" part of her stage name comes from.

While Miss Fu-Sion will be dancing at her show, she will also have backing dancers from Resolution Dancers like a true pop star.

Speaking about the inspiration behind her return to music, Miss Fu-Sion told Teddington Nub News that her mum was recently diagnosed with cancer, and whilst she has fortunately now been given the all-clear, her diagnosis proved to Miss Fu-Sion, that life is so short, so you've got to make the most of it while you can and follow your dreams.

She said: "While I'd love to be selling out Wembley, I'm just happy to be performing again.

"I think it's a healthier thing to be able to say, 'just concentrate on what you're doing now and just enjoy what you're doing and hope that others will enjoy it too'."

Miss Fu-Sion has also performed gigs at the Hampton Hub, with the help of owner Dante, and The Red Lion Pub in Shepperton.

To help promote The King's Head's 10th anniversary, she will be performing a gig there on 20 September from 6.30pm.

At these gigs, Miss Fu-Sion usually performs acoustic guitar songs and some songs with backing tracks.

As a 53-year-old mum, she hopes to break the stereotype of what pop stars should look like and how old they should be.

She said: "Often, being a pop star is more about how you look rather than how you sound, and I hope to change that.

"It's a lot harder for women of my age to break the industry, but I'm hoping that by doing my show and performing gigs that I can promote my music."
