Met Office warns it could snow in South London tomorrow but Teddington not included
A new Met Office weather map shows the exact London areas that could be hit with snow as a further weather warning is issued for the city.
Many areas in England saw snow over the weekend, but now its set to move across to the south of the country.
By tomorrow, Wednesday 8 January, the yellow weather warning will cover south London from 9am through to midnight.
The Met Office highlights that the warning means there is a "small chance that power cuts will occur" and there is a "small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel".
While Teddington is not included in the map, nearby Kingston is included in the Yellow warning for snow as temperatures remain at 0C throughout the morning.
By midday temperatures will rise but so will the chance of sleet showers.
While hitting 2C it will feel more like -1C due to winds by 3pm with there being a 70% chance of precipitation.
These showers are set to fade into the evening with temperatures remaining stable.
The areas covered by the warning are:
- Bexley
- Chessington
- Chertsey
- Coulsdon
- Croydon
- Dartford
- Esher
- Kingston
- Mitcham
- Orpington
- Sutton
- Swanley
- Wimbledon
