Teddington has a wonderful range of the finest cuisine but its latest offering on Kingston Road may just be one of its most enticing yet!

Red Koyla opened its doors to Teddington residents on Friday 29th July offering authentic Indian cuisine with a menu emphasising the essence of India's diverse culinary landscape.

The man behind the exciting new project hails from a family of third-generation master chefs in India, Naseem Qureshi, bringing 32 years of culinary experience from international hotel chains such as Sheraton Le Meridien and the luxurious Oberoi Group.

Chef Qureshi arrived in London in 2006 and continued his refined line of work, bringing traditional Indian cuisine to the British people.

Before embarking on his latest challenge in Teddington, Chef Qureshi was indulging Richmond residents with his exquisite dishes at the renowned Chatora on Kew Road.

The Richmond-based restaurant was included in the Michelin Guide 2021, the ultimate hallmark of culinary excellence and awarded to restaurants judged to have been of a particularly high standard.

However, after an esteemed career working in the hustle and bustle of frantic kitchens dealing with the highest of pressures, Chef Qureshi wanted something different, something that he could take full ownership of and wow customers with his unique approach to Indian cuisine.

Teddington's Red Koyla is Chef Naseem Qureshi's latest cullinary adventure

Commenting on his decision to embark on his new chapter in Teddington, the esteemed chef said: "Teddington is an area I am very familiar with after working in Richmond for the last three years. There is an overwhelming sense of community and support for independent local business.

"I want to share the wonderful flavours of my home country with this special area and the borough, and help people acknowledge the finest Indian cuisine is right on their doorstep!"

Before opening the doors to Red Koyla, Chef Qureshi arrived back from Paris earlier this year after receiving the Bharat Gaurav Award 2022, a lifetime achievement award for representing Indian cuisine across the globe and for his contribution to the Hospitality Industry.

Teddington residents now have the opportunity to indulge in Chef Qureshi's unique menu which emphasises the diverse essence of India's culinary landscape with elegant dishes made to inspire and delight guests.

From tantalising vegetarian dishes to tandoor specialities to seafood, Red Koyla is ready to welcome you now!
