A man has been taken to hospital following a fire at Teddington Fish Bar this afternoon.

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled the fire at the fish and chip shop on Kingston Road after receiving an initial call at 12.23pm.

Fire crews from Twickenham, Surbiton, Heston, Wimbledon and surrounding fire stations had the fire under control just over an hour later at 1.47pm.

Part of the Teddington Fish Bar has been damaged by the fire and the cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
