A man whose parents are supported by Crossroads Care is taking on the Ironman Challenge in California.
Harry Messenger will swim 2.4 miles, cycle 112 miles and run 26.2 miles around the Californian course on 27 October to raise money for Crossroads Richmond and Kingston upon Thames.
Crossroads Care supports the needs of unpaid carers and those it cares for of all ages and disabilities, to include a range of debilitating conditions from dementia to profound disability.
Messenger said: "Crossroads provides support to carers who are looking after loved-ones, giving them a break from their demanding caring responsibilities.
"My family has been fantastically supported by the charity and we'd love your support to extend the impact that this local charity can make."
Crossroads Care's Operations Manager, Nicola Wilson, said: "We are so grateful to Harry for choosing to do this gruelling challenge in aid of Crossroads.
"How amazing too that our work is reaching people in California who are so kindly donating to Harry's appeal.
"We wish him so much luck for the Ironman Challenge which we will all be eagerly following."
