A man has been charged after his dog caused a group of deer to stampede.

Royal Parks Police said:

"We have today charged a male from Weybridge under the park regulations after his dog chased a herd of deer in Bushy Park on 17/01/21.

"The fleeing deer collided with a child who was taken to hospital.

"He will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on 23/02/21."

There have been a number of controversial incidents involving dogs and deer - that led to a man in Richmond Park being charged last year.

Remember to stay 50m away from the deer and keep your dog on the lead if there are deer around.
