London Lockdown: How many people have coronavirus in Teddington

There has been increasing talk of tighter restrictions being enforced across London, amid a surge in coronavirus cases.
While much of the North and Midlands are under tighter rules nothing similar has happened in the capital, or indeed the whole of the South just yet.
These restrictions would include a ban on mixing with people from outside your household and a 10pm curfew.
This would not be a full lockdown like we saw back in March as businesses would remain open (for now at least) and schools and workplaces would not shut.
So just how prevalent is coronavirus in Teddington and Richmond Borough?
The UK average is 16 cases per 100,000 - with Richmond having 14 cases per 100,000.
For context the countries on the UK's quarantine list all have average cases at over 20 per 100,000.
Nearby Kingston upon Thames has 16 cases per 100,000 while Merton has 15 cases per 100,000.
So in our area of London the virus does not seem to be out of control - so why is Mayor Sadiq Khan considering a London lockdown?
Many areas of London have higher cases than Richmond - with neighbouring Hounslow having 34 cases per 100,000 - although this is still a lot less than hotspots in the north such as Bolton - who have around 190 cases per 100,000.
It is also unclear if local lockdown restrictions would affect different boroughs of London or the whole city.
A spokesperson for Mr Khan said: "The situation is clearly worsening. Sadiq will meet council leaders and any London-specific measures will be recommended to ministers following that.
"The mayor wants fast action as we cannot risk a delay, as happened in March. It is better for both health and business to move too early than too late."
These meetings take place today - so we will have to wait and see what measures will or will not be introduced.
