Local police will continue to monitor area following Closure Order in Teddington
By Tilly O'Brien 23rd Jan 2026
Teddington Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) says it will continue to monitor the area after a Closure Order was issued on two addresses on Little Queens Road in Teddington last week.
The orders were issued to addresses in Tenters House and Francis court following a hearing at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 14 January, which found that people had "engaged in disorderly, offensive, or criminal behaviour on the premises".
According to the Teddington SNT, the antisocial behaviour was drug-related with constant movements to and from the premises.
Police also report disruptive, loud threatening callers at all hours of the day and night, drug taking in stairwells, drug dealing, shouting, swearing and threats to other residents.
A closure order is an order prohibiting access to the premises for a period specified in the order.
This closure order prohibits access by all persons (except those specified or those of a specified description) at all times and in all circumstances from 14 January 2026 at 1pm to 14 April 2026 at 1pm.
Speaking about issuing the order, Sergeant Phillip Ross Martyn, Police Sergeant of Teddington and Hampton Wick SNT, told Nub News: "We will be monitoring the area closely and conducting plain clothes and uniformed patrols in the area to continue to address any further problems in the area.
"The granting of a closure order is a significant achievement for ourselves and partners and we are very pleased for the residents ."
