Landmark Arts Centre to be lit in red tonight

By The Editor 5th Nov 2021

The Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington will be lit up in red tonight as part of a national campaign.

The 'Light it in Red' movement aims to bring to light the issues the events industry has faced due to coronavirus.

Thousands of venues across the country plan to join the Landmark tonight and light it in red.

There has been good news today for the industry as the government has pledged £1.5 billion to help save the arts.

The light up is still very much going ahead tonight but the 'Light it in Red' movement have made an official statement.

They said: "While we welcome the rescue package from the government we await clarification about what this means for freelancers, suppliers and those in the wider theatrical and events industry.

"We continue to light buildings in red this evening to show we are still standing by to reopen."
