The jobs market is tough out there right now - but here at Nub News we are here to help.

Each week we will bring you a brand new job in the local area that could be right for you.

This week we're bringing you this role from prominent Teddington-based Christian charity, Tearfund.

Here is our featured role:

Senior Media Officer

You will be joining an organisation that is passionate about tackling the three defining issues of our time - ending extreme poverty, living within the earth's limits and rebalancing inequality.

We walk alongside grassroots movements around the globe, inspiring and equipping them to drive change, and joining them up with our media, research and campaigning work on issues including the climate emergency and plastic waste. We're looking for a passionate and interested person to join our team.

You will engage with the media - broadcast, print and digital - so that they understand our advocacy issues and messages and include stories that inspire people to respond.

You will work closely with our advocacy team, advising on media strategy to enable us to influence decision makers and engage the public on our priority campaigns.

You will be an accomplished writer and an experienced journalist or PR operator with an eye for a good story and the skills and tenacity to see it shared in the media. If you have experience or knowledge of our issues, or experience of advocacy and campaigning, even better.

Do your skills and experience match the above? Do you want to use your skills to help end poverty, fight climate change and rebalance inequality? Then this is the job for you!
