A Harlequins club member tested positive for the virus earlier this week.
The tests are given to any player or member of staff at the club ahead of the Rugby Premiership restart.
Currently the restart date is set at August 15th for clubs so that the 2019/20 season is completed.
Quins will not reveal who tested positive or what their role at the club is due to patient confidentiality.
The club gave this following statement:
"The individual is now in isolation along with any others identified as close contacts in both their team and household settings.
"This approach is informed by protocols established with Public Health England (PHE) and Track and Trace.
"When a player or staff member tests positive they are assessed on an individual basis under PHE guidelines, and a plan will be implemented which will include self-isolation as well as the isolation of team and household contacts.
"Further to this, a second test is now being taken by the individual to confirm the test, and the result will be known this week.
"When a player who tests positive is ready to come back into the training environment, they will be medically assessed and have a graduated return to training."
It's been a middling season for the club who currently sit 7th in the Premiership table.
Their next fixture sees them take on 2nd place Sale Sharks in a game that originally should of taken place back on March 22nd.
The game will take place at The Stoop in Twickenham although no fans will be present.
