GreenWise People, an organisation which delivers bespoke days in nature to charities, community interest companies, corporates, public sector and non-for-profits, is holding a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshop, Natural Musicians, tomorrow, Friday 11 October.

The workshop will be held at Ham Lands Nature Reserve in Richmond from 10am-4pm.

"It will be a day of music, art and movement inspired by the world outside and the feelings inside," said GreenWise People's founder, Maria Sprostranova.

Sprostranova's workshop will consist of a range of whole-body activities and experiences that awaken the senses spark curiosity and draw out the creative spirit.

Outdoor educator, storyteller, publisher, and musician, Chris Holland will be there too and will teach attendees how to make natural instruments from surrounding material and to see the patterns in nature to create their own rhythm and melody.

According to Sprostranova, "Natural musicians will enable you to become present in the moment to help concentration and to develop composure in front of people.

This will be a massive day of singing, sharing, pausing, storytelling, free movement, and sound interpretation of nature".

There will be a music competition, individual and group work, creative play, and time to simply listen.

It will be a feast for all those who educate or lead groups outdoors.

Speaking about why she founded GreenWise people, Sprostranova told Teddington Nub News: "I have dedicated the last 14 plus years of my life to reconnecting people of all ages and from all nature settings to each other and to themselves.

"Folk won't look after the land if they don't have a relationship with it, so all starts here.

There is only one Maria Sprostranova, so I can't hide."
