From the editor's desk: My Nub News highlights

By The Editor

2nd Apr 2021 | Local News

I wrote my first article for Nub News in April 2020 as we were in the midst of the first lockdown.

It was an incredibly uncertain time as we were just getting to grips with the new COVID world.

Fast forward 12 months and I am writing my last article for Teddington and Kingston Nub News as we hopefully come out of lockdown for good.

I have immensely enjoyed covering local news in South West London over the past year.

Here are some of my highlights:

Getting to know the great people of Teddington and Kingston. I moved to the area to take this job and everyone I've spoken to has been great and really behind Nub News.

The Teddington World Cup of Hospitality was tremendous fun to do and hopefully the competition will make a return this summer.

The Teddington advent calendar in December recapping the 25 most read articles of the year was also well-received and it was fun to see people join in with the countdown.

Launching Kingston Nub News in January was a challenge but I'm pleased with how the sites going so far and know it will keep attracting a bigger a readership in the future.

My replacement has already started and in Ellie Brown you have a great reporter who knows the area and the kind of stories people are interested in.

So thanks to everyone who has ever read any articles on Teddington and Kingston Nub News, I really appreciate it.
