From the editor's desk: 'Christmas time, no lockdown and more crime'
By The Editor
6th Dec 2020 | Local News
It has been another busy week as editor of Teddington Nub News.
I'm glad that everyone enjoyed reading my journey into this job and appreciate the positive feedback that I got.
This week we are on track to break our record of how many users we've had visit the website.
It looks likes the final figure will be around 9,000 people - which given the total population is around the 10,000 mark (according to the 2011 census at least) then this is a huge portion of the town.
So thanks again for reading and let us see if we can get the other 1,000 on board.
Body Found at Teddington Lock
One of the biggest stories we've ever done took place this time last week as a body was found by Teddington Lock.
The death is not thought to be suspicious but it is still such a sad event.
I've been lucky that while covering Teddington we have not had much crime in the town.
But this added together with the Catalytic Converter thefts that have been taking place it is important that we stay as safe as we can.
Christmas!
I have ramped up the Christmas content this week.
It feels like the tree in my flat has already been up for weeks.
For Nub News we brought you our advent calendar that is counting down the top 25 most read stories of the year.
Plus with lockdown eased we also can report on even more good deals that businesses are offering.
And of course the great Christmas Lights Switch On took place on Thursday night.
There will be plenty more Christmas fun to come on Nub News over the next few weeks.
