Flood alert issued for Thames riverside from Putney Bridge to Teddington Weir

A flood alert has been issued for Thames riverside from Putney Bridge to Teddington Weir for Tuesday 9 April, with river levels expected to rise from spring tides.
Flooding of low-lying roads and footpaths is expected, which may exist for one to two hours either side of high tide. Flooding of properties is not expected.
According to GOV.UK, there is a possibility of flooding for the towpath below Teddington Lock, Putney Embankment (SW15), Chiswick Mall and Strand on the Green (W4).
There is also a flood alert for Thames Bank at Mortlake (SW14), Ranelagh Drive (TW1), Friars Lane and Water Lane (TW9), Riverside and The Embankment at Twickenham.
Astronomical tide levels are rising, with the river flow at Teddington Weir high for this time of year at 200 cubic metres per second and is falling slowly.
It is anticipated the flows will remain high for the next few days, with the the situation being monitored.
The flood alert will be updated by 9pm later today HERE, or as the situation changes.
