An electric bike was involved in a fire at the Teddington Travelodge today.

Firefighters were called to deal with a fire at the hotel on Station Road this morning, a spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade (LFB) confirmed.

"We believe it was a fire that involved an electric bike," they said.

Firefighters were at the scene at 8.23am and the incident was brought under control by 8.50am.

They stayed to investigate and were seen near the Travelodge an hour and a half later.

The bike was damaged by the fire and removed from a hotel room. There was no fire damage to the hotel.
