From a purely sporting perspective yesterday was a bitterly disappointing day for Harlequins.

The Rugby Club, based at The Stoop in Twickenham, suffered a disappointing loss to 10th placed Worcester Warriors, away from home.

A disastrous first half was Quins' undoing, as they went into the break a staggering 26-0 down.

The second half was much better for the local side , however they did not do enough to claw back the lead.

Harlequins head of rugby Paul Gustard said: "I am embarrassed. It was a sobering first 40 minutes. We never saw that coming. That's not to say we are an arrogant team and we think that we are going to dominate teams physically.

"We didn't think we picked people that were going to get steam-rollered, but that's exactly what happened. We got bullied when we carried the ball.

"Everyone is hurting. That first 40 minutes is one of the lowest points of my coaching career. We never got to fire a shot, we were on the back foot all the time."

There is however some more positive news as Harlequins will be having fans back at The Stoop very soon.

The Premiership fixture vs Bath on September 5th will finally bring some fans back.

The capacity is expected to be limited to 4,000 people - down from the usual 14,000 - but an important first step in getting all fans back to games.
