Covid cases are on decline in Teddington.

The news comes as the town, along with all of London and much of the South East, enters into Tier Two restrictions next week.

This means that indoor household mixing will not be allowed in any form.

The figures in Teddington however make for better reading.

According to the government's interactive map - which you can find HERE cases are on the way down.

In Teddington Central and Teddington East/Hampton Wick cases have dropped by a third over the past week.

Both now have rates per 100,000 well below the national average.

Indeed the whole of Richmond Borough has seen a sharp decline in cases that saw it as one of the most infected boroughs just over a month ago.

The rate in the borough is now 108 per 100,000.

The national average is just above 150 per 100,000.
