Bin collection dates for the week following the upcoming May Bank Holiday weekend have been released.

Between Monday May 3 and Friday May 7, Richmond Council will carry out general waste, food waste, garden waste and recycling collections at domestic properties one day later than usual.

There will be no collections for bulky waste available on Monday May 3. Bin collection days will go back to normal on Monday May 10.

The new collection times in full are as follows:

Monday 3 May collections move to Tuesday 4 May

Tuesday 4 May collections move to Wednesday 5 May

Wednesday 5 May collections move to Thursday 6 May

Thursday 6 May collections move to Friday 7 May

Friday 7 May collections move to Saturday 8 May

These changes do not apply to commercial waste and recycling collection services.

Townmead Road Household Waste and Recycling Centre will be open over the BankHoliday, but pre-booking is essential.

The Council asks residents to make sure their waste is available for collection by 6am on collection days.

Bins should be be left at the boundary of the property beside the entrance. To reduce trip hazards, avoid putting them out before 8pm the night before collection.
