A closure notice has been issued on two addresses located on Little Queens Road in Teddington.

The orders have been issued to addresses in Tenters House and Francis court following a hearing at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 14 January, which found that people had "engaged in disorderly, offensive, or criminal behaviour on the premises".

According to police from the Teddington Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), the antisocial behaviour was drug-related with constant movements to and from the premises.

Police also report disruptive, loud threatening callers at all hours of the day and night, drug taking in stairwells, drug dealing, shouting, swearing and threats to other residents.

According to Teddington SNT, "Police and local partners are pleased to share an important update regarding ongoing work to improve safety and quality of life for residents in the Little Queens Road area".

Teddington SNT said: "For several years, parts of Little Queens Road have experienced persistent challenges linked to antisocial behaviour and associated criminality.

"These issues had a noticeable impact on residents, some of whom reported feeling unsafe or unsettled in their own homes.

"In response, the local neighbourhood policing team—working closely with the Local Authority, housing providers, health partners, and other agencies—launched a sustained programme of action to address the problem."

It added: "Following months of joint work, two Closure Orders have now been granted by the Magistrates' Court.

"These orders legally restrict access to specific addresses that were at the centre of repeated incidents, helping to prevent further antisocial behaviour and protect the local community.

"The successful applications reflect the combined efforts of all partners involved and demonstrate how coordinated action can tackle even long‑standing issues."

Since the introduction of the Closure Orders, Teddington SNT reports that:

  • Reports of antisocial behaviour in the immediate area have significantly reduced
  • Residents have expressed increased confidence and reassurance
  • Many people have reported feeling more comfortable and safe in their homes and neighbourhood
  • Community wellbeing has noticeably improved

The team said: "This progress shows how targeted, evidence‑led partnership work can deliver meaningful and lasting change."

The neighbourhood policing team and partner agencies claim they "will continue to monitor the area and support residents to ensure these improvements are sustained".

Teddington SNT added: "Community engagement and problem‑solving remain key priorities.

"We would like to thank the local community for their patience, cooperation, and willingness to report concerns. Your support and information have played a vital role in achieving these results.

"If you ever have concerns about antisocial behaviour or crime in your area, please continue to report it via the usual channels – met engage or by calling 101 or 999 in emergencies."

Prior to the court hearing, on Tuesday, 13 January, Teddington SNT created an alert on the order, saying: "Today we served a closure notice on an individual living in Teddington.

" We will be going to court tomorrow to seek a full closure order on the address. We will not tolerate anti-social behaviour and drug use/dealing in Teddington and will use all the powers at our disposal to bear down on crime and antisocial behaviour. We will update you tomorrow with the outcome of the court hearing."

A closure order is an order prohibiting access to the premises for a period specified in the order.

This closure order prohibits access by all persons (except those specified or those of a specified description) at all times and in all circumstances from 14 January 2026 at 1pm to 14 April 2026 at 1pm.
