Teddington Nub News aims to be supportive to EVERY element of the community from business and shops to people and charities and clubs and sports organisations.
Everyone is finding it tough at the moment and is desperate to get back to normal.
We will be profiling some of these local businesses and groups regularly over coming weeks in a feature called CLOSE UP IN TEDDINGTON in the hope that we can be a supportive springboard for your full return to business as usual
This week we talk to The Fiit Club and their founders Nadine and Becky.
The Club's goal is to deliver fitness classes for women, by women.
Q: So how did you guys start The Fiit Club?
"Becky and I started The FiiT Club last November. We randomly met at the gym, got chatting, both turned out to be Personal Trainers so we decided to set up The FiiT Club.
"We are both mums of two children and know how difficult it can be to find the time to look after yourself and workout so prior to lockdown we offered sessions where mums could come along to workout and bring their babies/children."
Q: How did you adapt the business over lockdown?
"Over lockdown we started up online zoom sessions and opened these up to men and women, they've been really successful and we've had so much great feedback that we've decided to continue with them, no session is ever the same."
Q: When can you start getting back to in-person classes?
"We have now started training small groups outdoors again based in Teddington and Twickenham, our personal training sessions are really taking off and we're really excited to be getting our 6 week postnatal courses going again at Up and Running in Teddington which will be starting on Monday 14th September."
Q: How do the classes work?
"We want our training to give you a foundation that pushes and enables you to reach your goals. Our Fiit Hiit sessions are high intensity focusing on metabolic conditioning combined with strength training enabling you to burn fat and build muscle at the same time.
"Personal Training sessions are individually designed to meet our clients goals whether that is to reduce body fat, gain muscle and strength, rebuild your core post pregnancy or exercise safely throughout your pregnancy.
"We also offer nutrition plans and 8 week gym and home workout plans. "
Q: How do you get new mums back into fitness?
"As mums, we're serious about working out during pregnancy and taking the right steps to recover postnatally.
"We offer a 6 week postnatal course to focus on reconnecting your core and pelvic floor and get your body ready to take on those workouts women would have loved to do pre-pregnancy."
