You probably couldn't have asked for a tougher first year as a new business.

But for Cafe Verde it is the cards they've been dealt as they celebrate a year of opening.

The Kingston Road Cafe has faced all sorts of pandemic related obstacles but still remain popular here in Teddington.

Here's what Filiz from the cafe told us earlier this year:

" She added: "We opened in November last year having spent a lot of money redecorating over three months.

"We spent thousands doing this and we really starting to get popular until lockdown.

"But people are coming back now and our breakfast is very popular - so it is really important we can keep serving it to keep the business going.

"We're a lovely, modern and clean place and we are so happy to be part of the community."

The Cafe is still open for takeaway today and we'd thoroughly recommend you get down there and experience their great food and drink.
