If you test positive for coronavirus or show symptoms you must now isolate for 10 days the government has announced today.

This comes after the original seven day period was shorter than the advice given by the World Health Organisation.

Now in the UK we are in line with WHO's recommendation.

When travelling home from countries on the quarantine list however Brits must still isolate for 14 days.

While many businesses are now up and running and the lives of people in Teddington and across the UK are somewhat back to normal it is important to stay vigilant in regards to coronavirus.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has also urged caution as statistics reveal that England has had the highest number of excess deaths in Europe.

There have been reports of local lockdowns being implemented in other areas of the UK the transmission rate in Teddington is still thought to be low.

Sadly though 12 people in Teddington have lost their lives to coronavirus since the pandemic started back in March according to the Office of National Statistics.
