A Teddington vicar has raised £9,064 for a local church by partaking in a parachute jump.

On Friday (30 June) David Cloake (AKA "Daredevil David") parachute jumped 15,000 feet to raise money to build vital facilities for St Mary with St Alban Church.

Planning permission to revitalise Teddington's treasured 800-year-old landmark is set to expire this December.

The project aims to "create a welcoming community space that unites people of all ages and ensures the church continues to serve future generations".

Father David's fundraising is to help raise the final £350K needed for the project.

Every penny of sponsorship will go toward building essential facilities at the Teddington church, benefiting everyone in the local community.

You can still donate to the vicar's cause here.
