One of Teddington's most popular and traditional pubs, The Builders Arms on Field Lane, has closed down and faces an uncertain future, Teddington Nub News can exclusively reveal today.

The historic pub which dates back to 1865, and was first patronised by local builders and tradesmen, closed its doors earlier this week.

The pub is situated in the heart of the Teddington community and has a loyal group of regulars as well as showing most high profile sport events live.

The Builders Arms, which also has a garden area, offers three bedroom accommodation above the pub and is famous for its sumptuous Sunday lunches.

Nub News understands that significant efforts are being made to save the pub for the community, with the possibility of a local consortium being set up.
