An area of Bushy Park has to be closed today.

This is due to high winds which are expected to continue for the next couple of days.

Royal Parks tweeted: "Due to the current high winds and the number of large old conifers in a confined area, Bushy Park's Woodland Gardens will be closed until pronounced safe. More news as we have it."

A yellow weather warning for wind is currently in place for Teddington and indeed much of the country.

Rain is also expected to fall heavily at around 16:00 this afternoon.
