Photographer Sue Lindenberg captured this amazing image early today. The moon is known as the Flower Moon and was not due to be visible until 6.45am tomorrow morning (thursday)

The Full Moon of May is known as Flower Moon to signify the flowers that bloom during this month.

According to the website www.space.com: The full moon of May, also called the Flower Moon, will occur the morning of Thursday, May 7, at 6:45 a.m. EDT (1106 GMT), according to NASA's SkyCal site. This full moon will come just two days after the moon reaches perigee, or the closest point to Earth in its orbit, making this a "supermoon," according to NASA."
