Would you like a visit from a horse to mark your birthday or a special celebration in Teddington?
With the closure of the Park Lane Stables because of the pandemic, the staff have come up with a perfect solution: If the people can't come to us, why don't we go to the people and spread a little joy in the process!
A spokesperson said: "For the last few weeks we have been exercising our ponies in the local streets around Teddington and waving to everyone from a safe distance. We've had special requests from lots of people asking us to come down their road to say hello, including a few birthday surprises!
"If you live within reasonable walking distance of the stables in the Teddington area why not Request a Pony visit to your street?"
A special visit can be organised with the stables in return for a donation which will help the Stables – such a vital part of the community for new riders and the Riding for the Disabled Charity.
The visit must be within 'trotting distance' from the stables as use of the horse box is not allowed. (There is only ONE horse-related named road in Teddington, Stableyard Mews)
