Looking for things to do in Teddington this summer holiday? You've come to the right place.

From canoeing to cycling, art courses to concerts, there's plenty to do if you're having a staycation this year.

Here is our pick of the top 10 things to do in Teddington this summer holiday.

1. Get creative at the Landmark Arts Centre

Do you have a hidden art talent? Have you been yearning to test out your creativity but never found the time? Well then the Landmark's art classes will be for you!

Guided by experts but at offered at affordable prices, the classes range from day sessions to 3-day courses.

All sorts of art techniques are available to learn at the community arts centre, from Linocut printmaking to botanical watercolour painting.

You don't have to be an expert - plenty of beginner classes are available - and you'll always have something to take home to show off your new-found talent!

For the sustainability-minded you might want to check out this class on how tocraft a bird feeder in a day, or if you're into baking you can learn to make your own bread basket.

2. Learn to boogie at Awesome Studios

Get into the Strictly spirit early with these fun classes for children at Teddington's own Awesome Studios!

Run by experienced dance teachers Natalia and Martina from their high street studio, this holiday activity is a great way to get the kids moving - and have fun!

The sessions range from 2-hour workshops at £25 per person to intensive 3-day courses for £105.

3. Take part in the Hogarth's Disney Quiz and you could win a £40 bar tab!

If you love pub quizzes, don't miss this event at the Hogarth, Teddington.

On 19 August the friendly Broad Street pub will be holding its latest themed quiz, this time with a Disney twist.

Test your knowledge of classic and modern Disney films with the picture, film clip and music rounds - and you could win a £40 bar tab plus Disney goodies!

Entry is £3 per person and the quiz starts at 8.30pm.

4. Try out canoeing and improve your paddle-boarding skills at the world's oldest Canoe Club!

Did you know the UK's Royal Canoe Club, the world's oldest club dedicated to the water-sport, is based in Teddington?

Well this August is your chance to take advantage to having such amazing facilities nearby.

Anyone interested in learning to paddle-board can take lessons at the club with a trained coach, with 5-week courses available. More info HERE

And the Club is also offering FREE canoeing taster sessions specifically designed for 10 to 14 year-olds.

Perfect if your child has been inspired by the Olympics and you're looking for a more active holiday activity!

5. Keep the children entertained with the Happy Potter's craft workshops

Every weekday until 27 August the Happy Potter is running child-friendly classes for kids over 6!

Workshops take place from 10.30am-12pm and cost £20 per ticket, which includes the craft, a cupcake and juice.

Pompom flowers, still life collages, sloth clay pots, cute bug specimen frames and strawberry pottery bowl painting are some of the creative activities on offer - and will make great decorations for a family living room or fridge.

6. Enjoy drinks and DJs at the Lion's Beer & Music Festival

The Lion's annual beer and music festival is BACK, with 24 different brews and a range of fantastic events including DJs, live bands and quiz nights.

7. Learn to cycle with confidence with Pedalup - and discover new routes

With its fitness and sustainability benefits, cycling is a great way to travel.

But many parents are understandably worried about the safety of their child on the road.

That's where Pedalup comes in. Their 4-day cycle courses, run by friendly and trained instructors, help give children the skills to become confident cyclists.

As well as teaching traffic awareness, instructors also show new cycle routes for young people to explore.

8. Celebrate the re-opening of Teddington's community hub

United Response on Field Lane has been busy during lockdown providing care to people with learning disabilities in Teddington.

Now the charity cannot wait to be able to welcome the town into its community hub, The Enterprise, and is celebrating with a Re-opening party!

Taking place on Saturday 21st August from 11am - 3pm the party is FREE to attend and will have a village fair-feel, including businesses with their own stalls.

The Teddington Society will also be there so why not go along and get to know more people in our wonderful Teddington community.

9. See another brilliant art exhibit at a new gallery space in Hampton Wick

RuptureXIBIT is a new contemporary art space on Hampton Wick High Street, which has recently opened its doors to local emerging artists.

From Monday 9th August to Saturday 14th August the gallery will be hosting 'Perfect Blue', a show by artist Brandon Seedhouse.

The FREE exhibition will comprise of large, gesturally abstract prints on paper and silk, exploring themes of time, memory, gesture and experience and drawing upon influences from 1960s counter culture, Zen Buddhist philosophy, Japanese aesthetics and the natural world.

[h2] 10. Hold a garden fundraiser for Teddington RNLI [.b]

At Teddington we're lucky to have a RNLI lifeboat service at our Lock, ready to assist with any emergencies on the water.

But our brilliant volunteers rely on donations to keep the service going, which includes providing vital training, equipment and water safety sessions for children.

This August and September, the RNLI are asking people to hold garden fundraisers to help their cause.

Whether it's showing people around your beautiful blooms via a garden open day or hosting a garden party with cakes and music, there's plenty of ways to get creative for a good cause this month.
