He hasn't seen Hazel in 50 years – now a Teddington man is hoping to find her

A man from Teddington is seeking help in finding a former partner whom he has not seen in over 50 years.
Back in the early 70s, Tony Gladwell was both serving his engineering apprenticeship and acting as a resident DJ at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) Sports Club in Teddington every Friday night when he met Hazel who worked in the chemist at the hospital nearby.
He told Nub News: "Every lunchtime, I used to walk to the high street and always pass a chemist where a young girl was working in the shop.
"We always waved and smiled at each other but never spoke.
"And then one year, the MAYC club had a weekend away at the Sunshine Holiday Camp in Hayling Island and I bumped into Hazel!
"I think this proves that we were a match made in heaven."
Following their weekend away the pair went out for around three years, but "sadly parted company", says Tony.
Over 50 years later, Tony is now hoping to find Hazel, but unfortunately cannot remember her surname or address.
"I am only trying to find her to find out how life has treated her and say hello," he said.
Tony explained that when they were together, Hazel was a member of Teddington Methodist Church and its youth club, so he has tried to find her through the church - oly to have no luck.
Tony went on to become an engineer and ran his own business.
However, he has now retired after selling the business and lives in Shepperton.
If you are able to help Tony find Hazel, email him at [email protected].
