A group of youths have been banned from Bushy Park after police attended a gathering around a fire yesterday evening.

The fire was near a wildlife sanctuary in the park, according to the official Twitter account of the Royal Parks which tweeted a photograph of police on the scene.

Now a member of staff at the park has confirmed that the youths who started the fire in the woodland gardens have been banned from coming back.

It is not known if this is a permanent or temporary ban.

Nub News have contacted the Metropolitan Police for comment and will bring you the full statement when we get it.

The tweet by the Royal Parks is available HERE
