The car park of the popular pub and restaurant The King's Head in High Street, Teddington is being turned into a new Al Fresco-style dining area which will open on April 12th, Nub News can exclusively reveal.

Work was underway today (wed) to erect a giant canopy type marquee with open sides for plenty of ventilation.

The Teddington 'tent' will accommodate 60 guests with ten tables of six available with heaters as well. Astro turf will be laid across the concrete car park.

It is thought the marquee will stay at least until September following the Government's advice and encouragement to pubs and restaurants to make use of outside space according to Government guidelines.

The pub already has a garden space at the rear and at the front but the new addition will more than double capacity.
