Update: Injured cygnet loses battle for life

A spokesperson for the Royal Parks Police said this afternoon. "Sadly the cygnet died this afternoon, his injuries were too severe."
A distressed staff member at The Swan Sanctuary at Shepperton told Teddngton Nub News:"The poor little cygnet tried to fight for life but it was all too much so it only had a brief visit to this world instead of having a whole life in front, taken away by an uncaring human."
The sad announcement came as the police revealed that the jogger kicked a SECOND cygnet near the Pen Ponds in Richmond Park at about 5.30pm on Monday evening.
"The suspect was seen to kick another cygnet which, thankfully, managed to escape to the water."
The police said that the jogger had a logo on his running top and was balding. The cygnet was being treated for its severe injuries and had survived against the odds.
