Nub News has always known that Teddington is the best place to live in London.

Now however you do not just have to take our word for it.

That's because Teddington has been chosen by The Sunday Times best place to live guide as the number one London location.

Here's how Teddington is described: "Teddington nails the sweet spot between practical and aspirational.

"From sunrise to sunset the wide leafy streets, River Thames towpaths and glorious 1,000-acre expanse of Bushy Park pounded to the sound of joggers, walkers and hi-vis cyclists — many accompanied by a dog or two."

"People power has been big this year, from community groups helping each other out to the generosity of locals,

who managed to raise £1 million to save Park Lane Stables."

"I think the thing that unites people from Teddington is loving the outdoors," says Damian Wilson, who recently moved to the area from Islington, and whose top tip is Hampton lido.

The comprehensive guide is released online today and will be available in the paper on Sunday.

The Sunday Times's expert judges behind the guide assess a wide range of factors, from schools, air quality, transport and broadband speeds to culture, green spaces and the health of the high street.

They look for improving towns, villages or city centres, for attractive, well designed homes and locations bursting with community spirit - which the pandemic has shown to be the most vital quality of all.

A detailed breakdown of house prices has been supplied by data specialists TwentyCi and information on internet speeds has been supplied by Thinkbroadband.com, the UK's leading independent guide to broadband.

The other places in London finishing behind Teddington include Muswell Hill, Nunhead, Primrose Hill, Walthamstow and Winchmore Hill.
