Following more gatherings around Teddington Lock yesterday the police have put a dispersal order in place.

Leader of Richmond Council, Gareth Roberts, confirmed an order has been issued on Twitter.

The order is to stop large crowds gathering on the 'beach' area by the bridge.

The problem has increased due to rising temperatures however residents are reminded that social distancing regulations still apply.

Police are also keen to stop swimmers jumping from the bridge into the Thames.
