Are you a highly experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager with a proven track record of leading teams, optimising operations, and driving continuous improvement?

We are seeking a strong operational leader to take ownership of the entire warehouse function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys evaluating existing processes, implementing positive change, and developing high-performing teams while ensuring operational excellence across the business.

This is a senior, hands-on management position requiring full responsibility for warehouse operations, team leadership, inventory management, health & safety compliance, and operational performance.

You will be expected to assess current processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions that enhance productivity, efficiency, and service delivery.

Working closely with senior management, you will play a key role in shaping warehouse strategy while ensuring the day-to-day operation runs smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full warehouse operation, including goods-in, storage, stock control, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Lead, manage, motivate, and develop the warehouse team, creating a high-performing culture.
  • Review current warehouse processes, procedures, and working practices, implementing improvements where required.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Ensure stock accuracy through robust inventory management, audits, and cycle counts.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to monitor warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and policies.
  • Manage warehouse layout, space utilisation, and workflow optimisation.
  • Coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound logistics activities.
  • Work closely with internal departments to support business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Identify operational risks and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and operational readiness throughout the warehouse.

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership experience managing and developing warehouse teams.
  • Demonstrable experience reviewing, creating, and implementing warehouse processes and procedures.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong understanding of stock control, inventory management, and warehouse best practices.
  • Experience managing KPIs and operational performance.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure personal safety as well as the safety of others on the road Hours Monday - Friday plus every other Saturday 42 hours per week Experience Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) is essential. Experience with flatbed lorries is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
