Community

The Teddington Society was founded in 1973 as a non-political and non-sectarian organisation, and our aim today is exactly as it was then – to preserve and enhance the quality of life for everyone living and working in Teddington.

Our work covers planning applications and proposals, transport issues, riverside matters, the local environment, and open spaces and gardens. We also organise community events such as the annual Village Fair, and Teddington in Flower. Not only that, but we make grants to other local charities that embrace a wide section of social issues.

None of our work would be possible without our members, volunteers, sponsors and corporate members. If you haven't joined us, please consider doing so – because the more members we have, the stronger and more effective our voice becomes. Membership starts from as little as £4 a year.
